The BIG DAY for the Class of 97 10th Anniversary is arriving in another 2 days!

We will all once again gather for this grand moment to capture and recap back all our sweet memories during school time!

Please take note that the dinner start sharp at 7:30 pm but registration is open from 6:30 - 7:30pm, you would not want to miss out the chance to come and chit-chat with your long lost friends :)

The dinner will be held at Palong Ballroom, Grand Kampar Hotel.

If you are not able to find the place, just give a call to me or Kup Sang to further assist you!

Countdown - Another 10 days to go ....

Happy New Year !

It is just another 1o days to go .... I am so excited to meet up with all of you. For those who have registered, thank you very much for your support and for those who are still thinking whether you should come for this gathering - think twice ! This is really a NOT TO BE MISSED Event !

We have put our best efforts for you to enjoy this 1oth Anniversary Gathering to the fullest. We wont be telling you much on what is going to happen on that night - as it is still a secret. But what we are promising is a MEMORABLE one for everyone.

I have just finished calling almost another 30 friends today to remind and double confirm their attendance. Some of you are even so surprise to get my call as we have not been spoken for the past 10 years - wow !

Please make sure you dress "kau kau" - dress what you think will make you look cool, smart, handsome, pretty, nice, etc (anything that you could think of). Why you have to look extra-good? Coz you are going to be in CAMERA !

The whole event will be filmed and made into a DVD, so that you can take the memories back home and also made available for those who cant make it for that night. Of course the best thing is still to attend the event and feel the LOVE by yourself !

I am looking forward to see you next Saturday !

Dress Code of the Night - Glam & Glitter!

Dear ACS Kamparian friends,
I believe that all of you are really excited with another countdown of 23 DAYS to our 10th Anniversary Class of 97 Gathering! For those yet to confirm, you won't want to miss out this event since all of us have left our beloved school, ACS for 10 years and it's really a good chance to meet up again! Who's getting prettier, fatter, who's married..etc etc...lots of excitement when we meet up again!
We would like to inform all of you that we hope to see you dress nicely for the night as the pre-committee just agreed to set a dress code theme as "Glam & Glitter" What is Glam? It's an abbreviation for Glamour. Glitter means you are shining like a star...of course you don't have to wear shiny attires but just make sure that you dress nicely and that makes you shine! You don't have to purposely buy expensive clothes or scratching your head to find a tuxedo/night gown because all we expect is that no short pants/jeans/sports shoes/slippers :) although I know that most of us like to be in casual look but we have a reason for this...
We are planning to have a group picture for the night as a remembrance and also there will be video/photo shootings during the whole night event....you won't want to miss out the chance to look good in the pictures! So grab the best attire from your wardrobe and come for the event!
Last but not least, I would like to thank Kup Sang (in KL) & Weng Siew (in Kampar) for all the efforts the pre-committee had done so far, although we have some disagreements here and there but just to make things better for the event and most important to get all our friends enjoy throughout the night!
I hope to see everyone of you confirmed in the list to be there, we have lots of surprises for you and most important, I hope to see more people coming!

Let's Celebrate for Kok Chung's Wedding !

Let's Celebrate the happiness for our friend - Mr. Wong Kok Chung as he has just ended his bachelor life on 2 Dec 2007.

Well, let's talk a little about Kok Chung. He is one of my best friend. I can still remember when we used to play basketball together with Yih Hann, Quah, Lee Chin, Mew Peng and Navpreet during our F2 time. It was really alot of great memories. We were so close to each other that time. Kok Chung is the only one where you hardly hear any rumours on "love affairs" or any "puppy loves".. This gentlemen to me is - he has not much interest in girls...

Well, in all his "silence acts" - he turned out to be the first one who take the action and get married among our groups. One toast to Kok Chung and Yoke Leng.

After 10 years, this is really the time where all of us (I mean all the ACS97 batch friends) really have to get together and meet up to find out how much we have changed !

For friends who are still undecided whether to come for this gathering, think again - this event is really a meaningful one.

More Confirmation this Week...

I was on the way back from Melaka (its my usual routine every weekends) and decided to call all the ACSians in my phone list... I know many of you are too busy to reply the email, leave a message on the blog and also sms. So I decided to give it a shot by calling each of you all.. (sorry the phone list i have is really limited)..

Yeah Good News, Manage to get another 7 - YES to go for the reunion. Am very excited as i am looking forward to more replies next week. Thanks to those who reply YES without hestitation.

For those who are still considering, please do make yourself available for this special occasion. It's time to meet up with all our old friends after 10 years.

There are few queries i faced as many of you replied to me that you are actually waiting to see who are in the Attendance List before considering whether to go for this gathering. I really hope that you can make up your mind and ask your friends to come along. Who knows they are also waiting to see if you are on the list...

Another concern is that there are not many Arts & Vocassional friends joining this gathering, yeah we have only Lam Chi Loon heading that group. He is making his best efforts to call his gangs to join us too. Let's pray that more friends are joining us soon.

The success of this gathering is not on me but on everyone's effort.

The 10th Anniversary Date & Venue is now FINAL !!!

Hi all,

We wish all our Muslim friends " Selamat Hari Raya" and the rest of the friends, happy holidays. It is really a good and long holiday? How and where do you spend your holidays? With family or with your love ones? Well for me, I have my weekends with my Boys' Brigade Officers (12th KL Coy >>> http://12thkl.blogspot.com/ ) in Port Dickson. We had a good time revealing the past one year progress and plan ahead for next year.

Sorry for not updating you guys on the progress of our gathering. The final date for the gathering will be on 12 Jan 2008, 730pm at Grand Kampar Hotel. We have done the survey and decided to hold our party there.

It is really a great place and we, Kamparian should be proud of this Hotel... 10 years ago, we dont even forsee that Kampar is going to be alive again with UTAR new development and Grand Kampar Hotel. Now, when you tell people you are from Kampar, you can be real proud and they all know exactly where you from, rather than have to tell them you are somewhere near Ipoh... haha..

We have more people to join in this organizing committee now. Let's welcome Weng Siew and Sun Sek on board...

Those Were The Days !!!

Dear all,

I went up to Penang and had an important meeting with our brother, Quah and we have finally decide on the following :

1. Venue for the Anniversary will be held in Kampar - we have 2 choices A) ACS Kampar B) Grand Kampar Hotel. We find it more meaningful to do it in Kampar as this is our anniversary and many of us have less opportunity to come back to our beloved school and the best of all, to meet up with the teachers and know more about the latest development of the school.

2. We will be organizing a cocktail session with the teachers so that we get the opportunity to say thank you and let them see how we have grown up for the past 10 years. So its exciting to know some of us are married n have children n some are still singles... etc... gonna be lots of fun !

3. For presentation wise, we will get the clubs to perform to us. Then we got the time to reflect how were you those time. At the same time, give you the opportunity to critic / praise them (if they perform better than you)...

Basically, we would like to make this a really GET TOGETHER event. No matter how we do it, we just need a PLATFORM to meet again.

Either good or bad, we need all your supports !!!

We are planning to make a trip back to Kampar for this discussion on 3 August (Fri). We will be discussing with the school on this arrangement. Everyone is invited to join us for this discussion. Do put our hand together to make this a success ya !
